Brazil’s “viagemeturismo” website reported on August 16 that during this investigation, researchers listened to 28,000 residents from 28 different countries or regions. According to statistics, 22% of Brazilian respondents do not remember where they stored their passports, and 5% can't even remember where they might be stored.

Respondents who were able to find their passports faced another challenge, that is, they could not recognize themselves in the photos. More than 77% of respondents across the world admitted that there is a big difference between their current appearance and passport photos. In Brazil, this proportion has risen to 86%.

This situation is mainly due to changes in life during the epidemic. According to the survey, 41% of Brazilians said that their current appearance is different from their ID photos because of their substantial weight gain; 25% said that this is because they have not had a haircut for a long time. In response to this reality, most people plan to start running to lose weight. Data shows that 77% of Brazilian respondents plan to invest in their appearance before their next trip.

The survey also shows that 42% of respondents worldwide pointed out that the epidemic has taught them that life and health are more important than appearance. According to the survey, one-fifth of Brazilian respondents said that they would like to take a vacation without worrying about calories, and said that what they really want is that the next trip can be enjoyed from the inside out.
