· During a pulse oximeter reading, a small clamp-like device is placed on a finger, earlobe, or toe. Small beams of light pass through the blood in the finger, measuring the amount of oxygen. It does this by measuring changes of light absorption in oxygenated or deoxygenated blood. This is a painless process.

· The pulse oximeter will thus be able to tell you your oxygen saturation levels along with your heart rate.

Slip it over your fingertip and press the button. (Also can be used on toe or earlobe)

Two wavelengths of light rapidly measure your pulse rate and the level of oxygen in your blood. Bright LED digital display also shows your heart rhythm. 

Automatically shuts down after 8 seconds of non-use. 

Two AAA batteries (not included) provide about 30 hours of operation.
